The excitement of July

July has been a reasonably quiet month project wise for us at Team HamTests, behind the scenes we are continuing to work on the improvement to the mock questions for the UK amateur radio exams.

We’re also trialing another project DummyLoad which allows radio amateurs to signup and create a blog, we’re running this as a free service so we can get the problems ironed out but we’ll be launching premium features in the coming weeks so its worth keeping an eye on its developments.

The actual biggest issue we’ve had this month is a bit of a growth spurt which has crashed Apache more then 3 times in-till we bought online a new VPS node which increased the capacity this has solved the problem for the time being.

Lets hope August has no server issues! and we have some proper updates to release :)

Don’t resist Dummyload

We’re pleased to launch Dummyload, a Ham Radio themed WordPress Blogging platform, perfect for documenting your experiences within the hobby.

While we get the system settled and running smoothly we’ll be running the service free of charge allowing you to get http://callsign.dummyload.co.uk.
